Dermal fillers are an injectable treatment that can be used to either support the deeper structures that lose support as we age, or hydrate the more superficial layers of the skin improving the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles and folds. Unlike anti-wrinkle injections, dermal fillers utilize a naturally occurring sugar gel (similar to what your body naturally produces) to lift and add volume. Ageing or significant weight loss can make feel their faces are ‘sunken’ or ‘hollow’ and so can be an excellent treatment for restoring volume.
Dermal filler treatments require expertise and skill, and with over 8 years of injecting experience, advanced anatomy and injecting training, and originally being trained by a plastic surgeon Lisa Rush is meticulous in her approach to treatments.
Dermal fillers tend to have minimal downtime but when you attend your complimentary consultation all risks, and things to expect before, during and after treatment will be explained. All of our dermal filler treatments include a complimentary post treatment Healite II, and a post treatment follow up.
Dermal fillers can suit a wide range of concerns but it is not a suitable treatment if you are pregnant, breastfeeding, or have certain auto-immune conditions. Dermal filler preparations also contain a local anaesthetic so if you have known sensitivities or allergies then this will eliminate your option to have treatment. Dermal filler injections are a prescriptive treatment and so as part of your consultation our medical drs will be involved either via video consultation or in person.
